Cheesy Lifetime Movie I’m astounded at how many five star reviews this book got。 The entire thing read like a lifetime movie。 Wealth， family secrets…all down to the extremely far fetched twist （which no， you don’t see coming， because it’s sort of ridiculous）。 The pros are it’s a quick read。

whatttt？？？That’s what you’ll be saying as this crazy story twist and turns and unfolds！ I did not see that coming！ I also couldn’t stop reading it！ I love it when the story takes you away with it！ Kiersten Modglin is a fabulous author！ If you aren’t familiar with her I’d highly suggest you check her out！

The FamilyThe very rich family that Austyn plans to marry into is ultra rich。 More so than she realizes when she travels to California to visit her fiancé’s home called The Pond。 She meets his sister and brother for the first time。 It is not a happy trip since there are deaths to grieve。 Austyn finds some secrets that have been hidden for decades and that influence all their lives。 Good story。 The author never disappoints。

I liked the way this book was written so the reader didn’t know who to trust。 Just when you thought you could trust someone， something would happen， and trust was shattered。 The whole name of the game in this book is trust - and mind games。 I enjoyed every plot twist， and to be honest， it didn’t quite play out the way I anticipated。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I feel like literally everything Kiersten Modglin writes is a home run， and this was definitely thrilling， there's no question about that- but the end twist in this one just didn't do it for me。 It was just too far fetched。How much of a coincidence was it that Austyn was friends with Emily before she got engaged to Lowell， and that Emily ended up being the Bass true heir？ Just so odd and far-fetched。 I loved the setting of this， though。 Sort of a locked door mystery， in a sense， and I absolutely I feel like literally everything Kiersten Modglin writes is a home run， and this was definitely thrilling， there's no question about that- but the end twist in this one just didn't do it for me。 It was just too far fetched。How much of a coincidence was it that Austyn was friends with Emily before she got engaged to Lowell， and that Emily ended up being the Bass true heir？ Just so odd and far-fetched。 I loved the setting of this， though。 Sort of a locked door mystery， in a sense， and I absolutely LOVED Dallas's character。 I envisioned Ian Somerhalder in his Damon era and it definitely did things to me。 The sexual tension and flirtation between Dallas and Austyn was unmatched。 I was 100% here for it。Overall， a very entertaining and thrilling book to get lost in。 In true Kiersten fashion， it's very fast paced and it'll definitely leave you wanting more。 。。。more
